Seeing red - in a good way!

Here's a tip for painting a room red: always prime with gray primer first! We failed to do so and it took 5 coats to make it look decent. I really like it though, it's a lot different from my last color which was green. More energy. I need it right now as I move into preparing for Bazaar Bizarre at the Maker Faire. This will be my first 2 day show, gulp! I'm already counting down the days. Production mode has started and I can't wait to see how my new varieties of softie trees turn out. I plan on going to a nursery this week for more inspiration. What trees would you like to see in softie form?

Love the room color!! I think that you should look to more ornamental trees for inspiration (dogwood)or a weeping willow or if you feel brave, a japanese maple (red of course). Good luck with all your work!!

Thanks, Brooke. Yes, I'm thinking the same thing. Dogwoods, flowering fruit trees, wisteria, red japanese maples, magnolias, and crape myrtles, to name a few. I'm checking out lots of bonsai photos as well. I've definitely got my work cut out for me. Thanks for the well wishes.
